I have one of your single person chance. I love it. I can't put myself there for your tent is easy to assemble and disassemble. I like how the windows are right next to the mat so I can get the for breeze in the summer. I can also lay in the tent and watch the sun come up. I do have quite a few pictures of my tent set up with beautiful backgrounds if you're interested.
This was given as a gift and he really loved it!
Received as promised, but the box had looked like it had been opened before (several types of tape used). I didn't take this up with Amazon or the seller as everything was there (minus instructions) and I was leaving the next day for an outing. I used the pics on their site to figure it out(which was easy enough). This thing rocks! I'm a big guy (5'10 240 lb) and I fit myself, my pack and a spare pair of boots without an issue. Set up took about 10 minutes the 1st time and about 6 minutes the second time. I set it up at home overnight 1st to stretch it out and test it before using it. The rainfly is a heavier gauge nylon and coated on the inside for better protection. The 1st night we had steady rain and NO LEAKS! The 2nd night it poured all night, and still no leaks! A definite +! Sorry about the video quality. It's the first time I've used it on my phone.
My only complaints are (and they're MINOR but worth writing about) :
1) It's low to the ground-about 11" or so. If you're a "bigger" person, or have back issues, it might be a little difficult getting in/out
2) As others have said, there's nowhere for the awning poles to attach to the tent feet like the manufacturers pics show. I just pushed them into the ground.
3) There is no toggle hook to secure the awning up and out of the way. There's only loops on both sides. Not a big deal, I tied it off at the pole ends and left it open all w/end.
4) Once the rainfly is on, there's only one way in or out of the tent. Through the awning side door.
Overall, I would recommend this tent. Just beware of the size for transport. Folded, it's about 60" wide, so it won't fit in MOST car trunks.
I bought this from Amazon ( in retrospect, I should have went right to the source) after looking for an alternative to having to pack my tent and cot. When it arrived the box looked like it had been through the ringer, but the contents were all there (minus the instruction sheet). It was easy to figure out what little assembly was required. I took it on a trip the following weekend and it was simple to set up, and surprisingly comfortable and roomy (I'm a "big" guy at 5'10 and 240). It has zip down windows on all 4 sides so you can enter/exit the tent from any side, and 1 side of the rain fly has a zip up/down awning . We had unexpected rain and downpours at times, and there were NO LEAKS whatsoever! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a tent. The only downside to it is (and to me it's not a big deal) that with the rainfly on, there's only 1 way in/out of the tent. I don't know how weatherproof it is without the fly on it, so I cannot comment on that aspect. Overall, easy to set up, comfy, and roomy. You won't be disappointed!
This is the most amazing tent I have ever owned. Usually, it's a pain to put a tent up and you have to lay it out and put in the stakes, then deal with a center pole. This one is so cool. It comes in a zipped up round nylon case that you just unzip, take the tent out and...this is the fun part...within seconds it is pretty much set up - just a couple of quick movements and it's all unfolded and ready to use! It is made of nylon that is on a plastic 'frame" and all I have to do is put the stakes into the ground and enjoy the beautiful Missouri weather. It is lightweight so easily portable and there is no need for a ground tarp or tent poles. I got this at a discount to test out and share my thoughts with folks and I have to say that it is even more amazing and easy to use than I thought it would be. It has two windows and a door that zips up. This tent is perfect for me to be able to transport and quickly set up. I love it.
This folds up and fits great in the back of my car with the rest of the camping gear! Also its really comfortable to sleep in.
